Owo Catholic Church Attack: Buhari Condemns Killings
The atrocious slaughter of congregants at the St Francis Catholic Church, Owa-luwa Street, Owo Kingdom, in Ondo State, has shocked and saddened President Muhammadu Buhari.
In his condemnation of the heinous conduct, President Buhari stated that those who commit murder will face eternal misery both on earth and in the afterlife.
Chief Femi Adesina, the President's Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, issued a statement expressing the President's condolences.
In the statement, President Buhari added that "only fiends from the nether realm could have imagined and carried out such heinous act," adding that "everlasting anguish awaits them both on earth here and finally in the hereafter."
He lamented the deaths and expressed condolences to their families, the Catholic Church, and the Ondo State government, ordering emergency services to go into action and provide aid to the injured.
According to the statement, he said, "No matter what, this country will never give in to evil and wicked individuals, and darkness will never conquer the light." Nigeria will triumph in the end."
