The Southern Kaduna women leader of the All Progressives Congress, Hon. Racheal Averik, on Monday the party’s women wing has already started mobilising other women to vote for the party’s governorship candidate, Senator Uba Sani, in the next 2023 general elections.
Averik, in an interview with THE PUNCH in Kaduna, said Sani has all it takes to develop the state.
She said, “We’re convinced beyond reasonable doubt that he will consolidate on the achievements made so far by Governor Nasir El-Rufai. We must vote for Uba; We are doing our best to bring someone with a good track record.
“It is time for the southern Kaduna to join the winning team so the region will partake in the next administration.”
Averik lamented that the Southern Kaduna region had suffered a political setback recently because of a lack of participation in the ruling party.
“We must take advantage of the 2023 elections to vote for a candidate that will respect our yearnings and aspirations,” she added.
She noted that for him to retain Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarebe as his running mate, “we are convinced that Uba Sani believes in women’s inclusion and empowerment.”
She explained that Uba Sani, as a first-time senator, has an unbeatable track record of performance and will exemplify those leadership qualities across the state.
“We recently held an interactive session with women in the region, and we’ll continue to engage more women groups to ensure victory for Uba Sani,” Racheal said.
“Let us leave a better legacy for generations yet unborn by voting a man that will entrench democratic values,” she appealed.
