Carabao Cup fourth round: Fixture dates, kick-off times and talkSPORT coverage

As the World Cup comes to a close this weekend, players will be thrown straight back into action in the Carabao Cup.

Only three days after the final, fourth round ties will get underway and there are plenty of interesting clashes.

The Carabao Cup gets back underway next week

The draw took place in November and teams can now finally get their cup campaigns back up and running.

Carabao Cup fourth round fixtures 

Three huge ties were drawn for the Carabao Cup fourth round and each of those games will be live on talkSPORT and talkSPORT 2. 

First up, Newcastle face Bournemouth at St James’ Park on Tuesday, December 20 with kick-off scheduled for 7:45pm. 

Eddie Howe will come up against his former club as he aims to continue the Magpies’ superb season so far. 

talkSPORT 2 will have live coverage of the game with commentary coming from Ian Danter and former England defender Danny Mills. 

Leicester, Southampton and Wolves are also all in action on Tuesday against lower-league opposition.

Thursday, December 22

• Man City vs Liverpool – 8pm (Live on talkSPORT)

Holders Liverpool will defend their title at the Etihad Stadium in the fourth round

On Wednesday, December 21, Vincent Kompany’s Burnley travel to Old Trafford to face Manchester United with kick-off at 8pm. 

The former Manchester City defender will be out to cause an upset against his former rival and it will all be live on talkSPORT. 

Hugh Woozencroft will be your host with commentary coming from Mark Wilson and former England defender Micky Gray. 

Premier League sides Nottingham Forest and Brighton are also in action on Wednesday.

The biggest tie of the round is between top-flight giants Manchester City and Liverpool.

The Reds are looking to retain their crown but now face Pep Guardiola’s six-time Carabao Cup winners.
